Children's Ministry

The Foothills is committed to children…so much so that we have devoted an entire building for them! Our Noah’s Ark children’s building is home to our pre-school thru sixth grade Sunday School program.
Our children’s curriculum is ‘Children Desiring God’ developed by John Piper’s church, and is a God-centered resource for training the next generation.
Contact Ron & Lisa Meyer-Hagen, our Children’s Ministry Coordinators, through the church office for more information about our children’s ministry or to volunteer.

Men's Ministry
The men’s ministry at The Foothills
is based on Hebrews 10 verses 24 and 25 which state: “and let us consider
how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own
assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another;
and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

Missions Ministries
When it comes to missions, The Foothills is committed to sharing Christ with people living in the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is a rectangle that extends from 10 degrees north to 40 degrees north of the equator, from West Africa to East Asia. Over 100 million of the billion and half people living in this area have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and find new life in Christ.
Even at the present time, most missionaries and resources go to countries where there is already a significant Christian witness. These mission efforts are, of course, important, but what about those who have never even had the chance to hear about Christ?
Because the needs are so great The Foothills has developed and are offering training and a variety of opportunities for those interested in global evangelism.
Prayer Partner (Intercessor)
Prayer is front-line essential defense. Intercessors prepare and preserve the way.
Training is provided in prayer and spiritual warfare to support the partnerships and missionary families. Spiritual Retreats centered on prayer are offered each year.
Intern (Goer or Mobilizer)
Internship programs are provided for individuals and families who have committed to work on the field overseas or to train as mobilizers to assist local churches with their missions endeavor. Our ministry is centered on the development and implementing of a process to effectively train and prepare both "goers" and "mobilizers."
Financial Supporter (Sender)
The Lord lays a burden on the hearts of those He has chosen to commit part of their financial resources to support His ministries. Monthly reminders are sent out, a yearly statement is provided and contributions are tax deductible.
Barnabas (Encourager)
Every aspect of ministry requires foot soldiers to be encouragers and helping hands. Many skills can be of great service such as administration, computer, business, teaching, etc. Your experience in almost any area can be utilized.
Bean Partnership
The Bean are a nomadic people group of between 3 and 3 ½ million living in a large arid area of Northern Africa. They are culturally Muslim. As their government tries to make them stronger Muslims by imposing Arabic culture on them, it has opened the door to take the gospel to them as they seek what truth is. Churches and organizations are now coming together to bring help in literacy, health and education. Pray the Lord will open the door for the church planting teams. Pray for the translation of the New Testament into the Bean language.

Youth Ministry (Element 26)
At The Foothills, we are committed to families...especially to families with teens. We have one full-time pastor on staff who works exclusively with parents of teens and teens themselves: Jesse Harden, pastor of student ministries.
We love hanging out with teens and having lots of fun (as you can tell by this picture!). However, we are not your traditional youth and family ministry.
We are dead serious about the spiritual formation of teens and equipping their parents to become their primary faith trainers.
Everything we do has a thread that runs through the home. Whether it's our Sunday morning Bible study or Winter Retreat, we make sure that parents are informed and equipped in order to continue teaching at home what their teens are learning at church.
The chart below shows you our plan for providing theological training for our teens in the midst of helping them build godly relationships with their peers and providing fun activities for them to enjoy.
