Adult Learning Opportunities - Fall 2010

Sunday Morning Schedule - Worship 9am followed by Sunday School for all ages at 10:45am.



Engage, with Mike Potter and Andrew Streett — Sunday mornings, 10:45am, in the Worship Center, meets every week — Our discussions will be focused upon the text for the morning message and its application to our lives and ministries. Click here for more detail.

Starting September 12th, the Engage class will be devoted to a study of the Story Line of the Bible led by Andrew Streett.

What Are the Kerygma & Didache?

Learn how the early church defined their faith in this class co-led by Stephen Patterson and Michael Dean of TSU. It is offered Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm in Room 104 from August 31 thru December 14. All adults and students are welcome.

Beginning Hebrew

Professor Shirley Strunk of TSU will be teaching this 12-233k class beginning Thursday, September 9 from 6 – 9 pm in Room 101. The class may be audited at no charge.

Breaking Free

This 10-week updated Beth Moore Bible Study will be offered in Room 101 at two different times.

The Monday morning session begins September 13th at 10 am and will be led by Michelle Potter. Childcare is available.

The Wednesday evening session begins September 15th at 6:30 pm and will be led by Rosemarie Briggs.

All women are encouraged to attend. Spiritual captivity is anything that hinders the abundant and effective Spirit-filled life God has planned for us.

Children’s Learning Opportunities

Sunday School – 10:45 am Sunday mornings

Nursery available for infants and toddlers through 2 years old.

Children ages 3 thru 6th grade meet in Noah’s Ark.

Junior and Senior High meet in the Youth Room

Weekday Programs at The Foothills

American Heritage Girls meets Monday evenings from 7-8:30 pm for school-age girls

Boy Scouts meet Monday evenings from 7-8:30 pm

Foothills Youth meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Foothills Discipleship Process

At the Foothills, we offer a very strategic and intentional discipleship process for helping believers grow toward Christ-likeness and spiritual maturity. The process is illustrated by the below figure. The process consists of three levels of growth opportunities, each of which entail of learning opportunities and parallel ministry opportunities.
